Meta is different from search

Google Ads captures a search. Meta has to earn attention.

Nobody searches for your business on Meta. The audience, the creative and the offer have to create the interest instead.

Campaign approaches

The approach follows the offer, not the other way around.

Not every account needs every approach. This is what each one is for, and the path it typically sends someone down.

Business consultation reviewing a form together

Lead generation

When it fits: The offer is worth a conversation before someone buys or books.

Action it drives: Instant form or landing-page enquiries.

Typical path: Meta ad → Instant form → Lead (Low friction, filled out inside the app.)

What to measure: Leads, and lead quality once they are followed up.

Messaging

When it fits: The business can reply quickly and the offer suits a conversation.

Action it drives: A message or chat that starts a conversation.

Typical path: Meta ad → Message → Conversation (Best when the offer benefits from a two-way reply.)

What to measure: Conversations started and how many turn into real enquiries.
Customer engaging with an offer on their phone

Website conversions

When it fits: The action can happen without a person, like a form, booking or purchase.

Action it drives: Traffic to a page built for one specific action.

Typical path: Meta ad → Website → Form, booking or purchase (For actions that need a full page or checkout.)

What to measure: Tracked website conversions, not just link clicks.
How Adlyvo manages Meta Ads

A clear process, built around audience and creative.

Performance is not just the ad — every step between the impression and the tracked outcome affects whether budget produces real results. Not every account receives every step below in the same order or scope.

  1. 01

    Account and tracking review

See what exists today before anything changes.

  2. 02

    Offer and audience review

Confirm the offer is clear and who it should reach.

  3. 03

    Campaign objective

Matched to the actual outcome you want.

  4. 04

    Creative and message structure

Hooks, angles and formats planned before launch.

  5. 05

    Pixel / CAPI validation

Browser and server events checked before spend increases.

  6. 06

    Launch

Campaigns go live once structure and tracking are in place.

  7. 07

    Creative and audience optimisation

Ongoing review of what is earning attention.

  8. 08

    Budget and placement review

Spend follows what is actually working.

  9. 09

    Lead-quality review

Enquiries reviewed for fit, not just counted.

In short: Audience → Creative → Lead / message → Quality → Optimisation.

Where Meta budget gets wasted

Getting attention, but not enough quality leads?

  1. Weak creative

The ad does not earn attention before the offer is even considered.

How Adlyvo helps: Multiple hooks, angles and formats are tested, not one static ad.
  2. Wrong campaign objective

The platform optimizes for the wrong action entirely.

How Adlyvo helps: Objective is matched to the actual business outcome you want.
  3. Broad audience with no strategy

Spend reaches people with no real reason to respond.

How Adlyvo helps: Audiences are built around the offer, not left on the widest setting.
  4. Poor offer or message match

The ad promises one thing and the form or page says another.

How Adlyvo helps: Offer, creative and landing experience are kept consistent.
  5. Weak landing or lead-form experience

A strong ad loses people at a confusing or slow next step.

How Adlyvo helps: The form or page is reviewed as part of the campaign, not separately.
  6. Leads and messages not tracked properly

Volume looks fine while quality goes unmeasured.

How Adlyvo helps: Leads, messages and conversions are set up and tested as real actions.
  7. Creative fatigue ignored

The same ad keeps running after the audience has already seen it too often.

How Adlyvo helps: Creative performance and frequency are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Meta campaign experience

We show approved results only, and none are published for Meta yet.

There is no approved Meta Ads campaign screenshot published on this site yet, so we do not show one and we do not substitute unrelated numbers, leads or ROAS figures. What we can show is how lead, message and Pixel or Conversions API tracking is set up and reported in real ad accounts.

If you want to see what tracked reporting looks like for a business like yours, the audit walks through it against your own offer and campaigns.

Creative and audience

On Meta, creative is part of the targeting.

The algorithm learns from how people respond to the creative, so the creative is not just decoration on top of the targeting.

  • Audience: who the campaign is built around
  • Hook or creative angle: what earns the first second of attention
  • Message: what the ad actually says
  • Offer: what the audience is being asked to do
  • Placement and context: where and how the ad appears

The same ad stops working eventually. That is expected, not a failure.

Pixel + Conversions API

Meta optimisation is only as good as the signals it receives.

These are the business outcomes tracking is built around.

LeadMessageFormBookingPurchase, where relevant

The Meta Pixel measures in the browser, and the Conversions API sends events from a server where supported, so signals are more complete. We cannot promise perfect attribution across every browser and device.

FAQ

Meta Ads questions, answered.

How much should I spend on Meta Ads to test properly?

There is no single number. Enough budget is needed to give each campaign and creative a fair chance to show a pattern, which depends on your offer, audience size and cost per lead or sale. We plan a testing budget around those factors, and ad spend is separate from management.

Why am I getting cheap leads but poor lead quality?

Usually the campaign is optimized for the cheapest lead rather than the right one. Loose forms, weak qualifying questions or a vague offer can also attract the wrong people. Lead paths, forms and measurement are reviewed so results are judged on quality, not cost alone.

How long should I test ads before judging performance?

We cannot give a fixed period. Judging too early can mislead, so we look at whether enough data has come in for a pattern to be reliable, and change creative, offers and audiences in a structured way rather than all at once.

Do I need both Meta Pixel and Conversions API?

Using both usually helps Meta measure more reliably, because the Pixel tracks in the browser and the Conversions API sends events from a server. They need mapping and deduplication so events are not counted twice. This is covered on the Meta Ads tracking page.

Is Meta Ads or Google Ads more appropriate for my goal?

Google Ads captures people already searching, while Meta Ads creates demand before someone searches. The right choice depends on your offer, how people find services like yours, and your goal. Many businesses use both, and the audit can suggest where to start.

Should I run ads on Facebook, Instagram, or both?

Most accounts run both from one campaign and let placement and delivery data guide where budget concentrates, rather than picking one platform upfront.

What creative do I need to get started?

A mix of formats and angles works better than one polished ad. Existing photos, video or product shots can often be adapted, and gaps are identified during the audit.

Can you take over Meta campaigns we already run?

Yes. Existing campaigns, creative and tracking are reviewed first, with useful history kept rather than rebuilt from zero.
